Grim Reality
Take a look at this little animated movie from the folks at Xtranormal – a cute little website which allows users to animate, voice and upload movies that they write and direct themselves.
This one, “A Day In The Life Of A Financial Planner,” gives an interesting view of the relationship between a new client and the planner they have just met.
To be honest, being a financial planner and doing all the things that you need to do to be a great planner, is difficult.
You need to listen to your clients and understand their needs, which requires an ability to translate what they say they want into what they really want; you need to understand their risk tolerance and their intelligence; and you need to make a reasonable map of their future, when most of the people on the planet can’t be bothered doing that for themselves.
So if you are a planner take a few minutes to look at this video, smile in recognition and beware there is an f-bomb in the final few seconds, but here at burningpants it made us laugh out loud.
